Heritage Shores - Let's Do Trivia! - Blurb for 5/13/25

Hello, 2nd and 4th Tuesday Trivia Players!

4:00pm Game-Start-Time.

Feel free to arrive anytime after 3:30 to register and get settled.

  • There will be NO ON-TIME BONUS. I will place a special QR Code on each table which will direct you to the APP pages that do not contain an On-Time Bonus, so to save you some hassle, use this special QR code to register your team.
  • There will be no do-overs.
  • There will be no Round 2 Art Bonus (though the space to draw will still be there).
  • There will be ONE Music Bonus Question (just ignore the second Music Bonus box on the APP). The Music Bonus question will always be, 'Name the group or artist who is performing the song I play, as that name would appear on the label of the record as the performing artist.'

😋"It's not whether you win or lose, it's how you play the game." It is my hope that you are here to enjoy the company of friends and promote interpersonal community within your physical community. Good-natured trash talk, applause, laughter, acknowledgement of impressive answers, and celebrating one another are the unifying results of coming together to play. When I played Little League baseball, the teams lined up at the end and every kid would say, "Great game!" to every opposing player. Consider sticking around to cheer as the trophy is ceremonially transferred to the new winners, and perhaps saying, "well done!" It's a great way to build relationships. If there's a tiebreaker, try to help them enjoy the nail-biting end of a great game. Have FUN together.

Game Date: 4/8/25

We enjoyed the company of 13 teams and nearly 100 players. Older Budweiser were the March 2nd Tuesday Champions, however, their team did not represent at the April 8 event, leaving the field wide open and me to deliver the trophy to the new winners. At the halftime, we had a tie between Waterside Wizards and Fun New Guys on top as Brain Teasers were a single point back in 3rd. The rest of the field were VERY close by, ALL 9 points are less from the #1 spot!

A 3-way tie going into the final question had Amanda's Avengers, Delaweirdos, and Fun New guys staring each other down like they were Hot Dogs at the Nathan's Tournament.

When it was all done, a tie remained as 2 teams took safe zero wagers and the ONLY team with the correct FINAL ANSWER, The Awesome Argalls, also took a safe wager of zero and the 3rd part of the tie lost points on their wager.

Amanda's Avengers came out of the tiebreaker on top and will be entering the arena with the trophy as defending champions on May 13th. If a team would like to do a grand entrance with the trophy, email me (or let me know) what song you'd like played as a theme song while your team enters, trophy held high! We will need to do this at least 5-minutes prior to 4:00.

Game date: 4/22/25

We had 11 teams rocking the ballroom. Topping the chart at halftime we had Waterside Wonders who had  an enormous one-point lead over Eighteenth Legion. In 3rd place we had a tie between Wings & Links and Your Guess Is As Good As Mine. Only 12 points separated last from first!

Rolling along into that final question, Waterside Wonders had managed to increase their lead and sat ahead of a tie for 2nd place by 5 points! In 2nd were Wings & Links and Eighteenth Legion, but they could not rest as there were two more teams tied up 1 point behind them! The O.G.'s and Everything's Ducky.

In the end, Eighteenth Legion were able to come up with the correct final answer and their 7-point wager paid off by taking them to 80-points for the win!

SIDE NOTE 1: In July there are 5 Tuesdays. Typically, there is no game in the clubhouse or at Sugar Beet on 5th Tuesdays. This July 30, we WILL HAVE a game of MUSIC TRIVIA at the Clubhouse. The format is the same as our Let's Do Trivia! gameshow but there will only be one main category; MUSIC.

Sub Categories will include: An Album Cover, Genre's, Decades, Lyrics, Guitar Solo, Music in Reverse, Song Meanings, Music Videos and more. There will be audio clues, video clues, photo clues as well as typical spoken questions. This new gameshow is called "Music Lover's Trivia!"

For Heritage Shores, this game will be customized to cover music from 1955 through 1995. Feel free to study all you wish, but remember, you can't use any reference materials during the game. This is oging to be a REALLY great time if you love music!
