Hello, 2nd and 4th Tuesday Trivia Players! It's JUNE! Yay!
4:00pm Game-Start-Time.
Feel free to arrive anytime after 3:30 to register and get settled.
- There will be NO ON-TIME BONUS. I will place a special QR Code on each table which will direct you to the APP pages that do not contain an On-Time Bonus, so to save you some hassle, use this special QR code to register your team.
- There will be no do-overs.
- There will be no Round 2 Art Bonus (though the space to draw will still be there). And whatever you do, do NOT draw a baseball.
- There will be ONE Music Bonus Question (just ignore the second Music Bonus box on the APP). The Music Bonus question will always be, 'Name the group or artist who is performing the song I play, as that name would appear on the label of the record as the performing artist.'
When I played Little League baseball, the teams lined up at the end and every kid would say, "Great game!" to every opposing player as we walked along the line. Consider sticking around to cheer as the trophy is ceremonially transferred to the new winners, and perhaps saying, "well done!" It's a great way to build relationships. If there's a tiebreaker, try to help them enjoy the nail-biting end of a great game. Have FUN together.
Game Date: 5/13/25
Once again, 13 teams and more than 105 players came over for the 2nd Tuesday game. Amanda's Avengers presented this week carrying the lovely Let's Do Trivia! trophy as the April winners.
At the halftime break, we had a three-team tie between Grey Fox, Waterside Wizards and Links In on top as Delaweirdos and Grey Fox Revisited were a single point back. The rest of the field were VERY close by, ALL 6 points are less from the #1 spot! A truly tight battle of the memories.
Delaweirdos were alone on top as we entered the final question, but not exactly resting on a comfortable lead. 1 point behind them stood the towering Waterside Wizards. Not to be far outdone, just another single point from them were Swamp Fox in 3rd.
With the dust settling on the final question, 3 teams were ablt to place the items in order correctly and they all wagered 20 points. A shakeup was in the offing.
LINKS IN came out on top and will be entering the arena with the trophy as defending champions on June 10th.
If a team would like to be announced in grand entrance style with the trophy, email me (or let me know) what song you'd like played as a theme song while your team enters, trophy held high! We will need to do this at least 5-minutes prior to 4:00.
5/13 Results:
Game date: 5/27/25
10 teams with 82 players in good spirits entered the ballroom on May 27. Our April winners, 18th Legion, strolled in casually with the trophy and took their seats.
In a rare halftime situation, we had no ties in the top 3 positions! Wings & Links sat alone on the top of the hill with 2nd place 18th Legion in hot pursuit 2 points back. Our 3rd place team was The OG's, who were just another single point behind.
Sliding into that final question, 18th Legion had reclaimed the top spot as they plotted to attempt a 2nd win in a row. With 2nd place Wings & Links a merre 6 points behind them they had a lead, albeit not a comforting one. Dumb Luck completes our survey of the Top 3 going into the final question.
In the end, 18th Legion were one of the 4 teams who nailed the final and received their wagered points, a calculated risk of 18, which took them to a game final 87-points... enough for the win! Well done, 18th Legion!
If any winning team would like to be announced in grand entrance style with the trophy, email me (or let me know) what song you'd like played as a theme song while your team enters, trophy held high! We will need to do this at least 5-minutes prior to 4:00.
SIDE NOTE 1: In July there are 5 Tuesdays. Typically, there is no game in the clubhouse or at Sugar Beet on 5th Tuesdays. This July 30, we WILL HAVE a game of MUSIC TRIVIA at the Clubhouse. The format is the same as our Let's Do Trivia! gameshow but there will only be one main category; MUSIC.
Sub Categories will include: An Album Cover, Genre's, Decades, Lyrics, Guitar Solo, Music in Reverse, Song Meanings, Music Videos, th epeople who make music, and more. There will be audio clues, video clues, photo clues as well as typical spoken questions. This new gameshow is called "Music Lover's Trivia!"
For Heritage Shores, this game will be customized to cover music from 1955 through 1995. Feel free to study all you wish, but remember, you can't use any reference materials during the game. This is going to be a REALLY great time if you love music!
