Heritage Shores - Let's Do Trivia! - December Recap in FULL! Looking to January.

 Hello, 2nd and 4th Tuesday Trivia Players! (Plus our Music Lovers Trivia recap is in this isuue! (at the bottom).

January Schedule for Let's Do Trivia! at the Clubhouse:
Tuesday January 13 (2nd Tuesday) Game begins promptly at 4pm (arrrive early to get settled)
Correction - clubhouse will still be closed for deep clean and repairs.
Tuesday January 27 (4th Tuesday) Game begins promptly at 4pm (arrrive early to get settled)

Sugar Beet hosts Funky Music Bingo on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays, games begin at 5:30.

Reminder: In order to keep games at 4pm and done by 6pm:

• There will be NO ON-TIME BONUS. I will place a special QR Code on each table which will direct you to the APP pages that do not contain an On-Time Bonus, so to save you some hassle, use this special QR code to register your team.
• There will be no do-overs.
• There will typically be ONE Music Bonus Question (just ignore the second Music Bonus box on the APP).

2nd Tuesday: Game Date: 12/9/25
Location: Heritage Shores Clubhouse Ballroom

At the halftime break, Waterside Wizards led the pack of 100 players with 44 points, holding a four-point edge over Links In. A tight cluster followed, with Grey Fox, Delaweirdos, and Watersiders all within striking distance. The middle of the board was jammed—five teams sat within three points of each other, setting up a volatile second half. Oh No, Not Again! trailed at 31, but with bonus swings ahead, no lead felt safe.

Heading into the final question, Waterside Wizards held the lead with 69 points, chased closely by Grey Fox (66) and Links In (65). A tie for fourth between Delaweirdos and Brain Teasers at 63 kept the top five tightly packed. Oh No, Not Again! made a notable climb from last at halftime to seventh place with 60, gaining 29 points in the second half—best surge of the night. With five teams within six points of the lead, the final was set to be a nail-biter.

It was a volatile finish at Heritage Shores. Waterside Wizards and Grey Fox both wagered 20 and missed, dropping out of trophy contention. Links In, also wagering 20, fell from third to the middle of the pack. The only team to hit a big correct answer was Delaweirdos, who wagered 7 and nailed it—leaping from a tie for fourth to a winning total of 70 points. Brain Teasers played it safe with a zero wager and also answered correctly, finishing second with 63.

Biggest climb of the night: Oh No, Not Again! surged from last at halftime to seventh before the final, but their 20-point miss dropped them back to 40.

This marks Delaweirdos’ first trophy win in recent months, and they’ll hold it until the next 2nd Tuesday showdown.

4th Tuesday: Game Date: 12/23/25
Location: Heritage Shores Clubhouse Ballroom

Just two days before Christmas, a small but mighty crowd turned out for trivia at Heritage Shores. With only three teams in play, the scoreboard stayed tight all night.

At halftime, Older Budweiser led with 38 points, followed by Wings & Links at 29 and Dumb luck at 27. 

But the second half and final wagers brought surprises: Older Budweiser held strong and finished with 60 points, while Dumb Luck clawed their way into second with 57. Wings & Links took a big swing on the final wager but missed, dropping to third with 39.

🎁 Note: The 4th Tuesday Winner’s Trophy—normally awarded to a member of the winning team—has been missing for a few months. A replacement will be ready by the January 27th game!  Art Bonus? Sure. Draw a polar bear.

Fifty‑seven players gathered at Heritage Shores for our final Music Lovers Trivia of the year — a melodic showdown where every category, every wager, and every final note came from the world of music. With seven teams in play and a 29‑point spread from top to bottom, the night delivered tight scores, strategic wagers, and a dramatic finish.

The first half was a masterclass in accuracy: across all teams, only four incorrect answers were recorded in Round 1. By halftime, Winks led the pack with 41 points, followed by The Alternates (36), The Why Nots (35), and Awesome Argall (31). The leaderboard was stacked, and the second half promised fireworks.

🎨 Secret Art Bonus
No Secret Art Bonus was issued for this event — but the creativity showed up in the answers and the musical reactions.

Round 5 brought the heat, with several teams stumbling on artist trivia and genre mashups. Heading into the final question, Winks and Monotones were tied at 73, with The Alternates (68), Awesome Argall (65), and The Why Nots (65) close behind.

Then came the final wagers — and the shakeup.

• Awesome Argall went all‑in with a 20‑point wager and nailed it, surging to 1st Place with 85 points.
• The Why Nots hit their 10‑point wager to finish 2nd with 75.
• Winks and Monotones played it safe with zero wagers, locking in a tie for 3rd at 73.
• Prime Timers made a bold 17‑point move and landed in 5th with 67.
• The Alternates missed their 20‑point wager, dropping to 6th.
• HSC Newbies hit a single‑point wager to finish 7th.
