Heritage Shores - Let's Do Trivia! - Blurb Update for February '26

Heritage Shores – Let’s Do Trivia! – Blurb for 2nd Tuesday: 01/28/26

There was no 2nd Tuesday game in January due to the Ballroom and Kitchen's deep-clean.

For a Round 2 Secret Art Bonus - draw Mr. Clean! (Or at least a stick-figure Mr. Clean) As usual, there will be NO MENTION, but you will receive 3 points for the drawing.

Please remember to register your team by using the small cards handed out. They lead to THIS PAGE for Heritage Shores team registrations. The QR code on some regular Team Sheets will direct you to our regular Team Registration (which does not skip over the "On Time Bonus" automatically).

Heritage Shores – Let’s Do Trivia! – Blurb for 4th Tuesday: 01/28/26

There are nights when a host walks into the Heritage Shores Ballroom feeling like a seasoned professional — a man who has seen it all, called it all, and documented it all with the precision of a NASA flight recorder. And then there are nights like last Tuesday, when that same host (hi, it’s me) somehow managed to wipe the entire score sheet off the face of the earth like it was a government file from a 1970s conspiracy thriller.

Gone. Vaporized. Poof.
If the scoreboard had been a Snapchat message, it would’ve lasted longer.

To make matters worse (for me), we had one of those ultra‑rare moments last week — the kind that happens maybe once every 5,000 questions — where an answer slipped through the cracks. Whenever someone raises an objection, I always go straight to our scrubber’s comments page, mostly to reassure myself that our accuracy guarantee is still intact. In this case, the clue was correct… but during research, our scrubber typed in the name of a song he knew well, which was slightly different from the actual clue, and he changed the author's answer, repoting it as "Corrected."

This kind of mix‑up is even rarer than an answer simply being wrong.

Once I caught it, I corrected every team’s halftime score — because yes, the correct answer was Gordon Lightfoot. Everyone who had Gordon Lightfoot DID get the points earned. On behalf of our company and my game, I apologize for the error. We work extremely hard to deliver factually accurate questions and answers, and our 10‑year accuracy rate reflects that: 99.985%. That’s roughly 15 errors out of 100,000 questions written — better than Ken Jennings’ own trivia book and miles ahead of Trivial Pursuit.

Our process is stronger than anything else we’ve seen, with built‑in double protection for accuracy… but like anything made by humans, it isn’t perfect.

Now, without the scores, I can’t tell you who won…

…but I can tell you who acted like they won. Everyone who was smiling on the way out! At least one team left the ballroom with the swagger of people who absolutely did win. And speaking of swagger… your Secret Art Bonus for 02/24: Draw a Candy Heart w/message.

We’ll see you Tuesday, February 24 at 4:00pm in the Ballroom — where the scores will be recorded, preserved, and hopefully not deleted by yours truly.
